Acceptance

By downloading, installing, purchasing, activating, or using PrivyDock, you agree to these Terms, the License Agreement, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use PrivyDock.

What PrivyDock is

PrivyDock is a macOS utility for casual privacy. It helps you move selected apps out of everyday view, open them from PrivyDock, and restore them later. PrivyDock is not encryption, malware protection, device management, parental control, data-loss prevention, or an admin-proof security boundary.

Product changes

Features, pricing, compatibility, wording, and availability may change as PrivyDock develops. We may change or discontinue non-essential features, but we will keep the product promise that restore remains available for private apps created by PrivyDock.

Your responsibilities

• Use PrivyDock only on Macs you own or are authorized to manage.
• Keep your Mac, backups, operating system, and apps in a safe state.
• Restore private apps before uninstalling PrivyDock whenever possible.
• Do not use PrivyDock to hide unlawful material or evade lawful oversight.
• Do not misrepresent PrivyDock as encryption or hardened security software.

Trials and licenses

PrivyDock offers a 30-day free trial with no card required. After the trial, PrivyDock is sold as a perpetual license. It is a one-time purchase, not a recurring subscription. Pricing may vary by region and is shown on the pricing page and at Paddle checkout. A promotional discount, when one is running, is limited to the number of purchases and the end date shown on the pricing page, whichever is reached first, and does not apply to purchases already made. After checkout, we show you a license key that you paste into the app manually to activate your purchase. The app license is described in the License Agreement.

The trial is tied to your Mac, not to a copy of the app, so reinstalling does not start it again. PrivyDock confirms your trial or licence with us when it can reach us, but it never needs a connection to work: making apps private and restoring them keep working offline, and only your trial ending stops you adding new ones.

Downloads and email

Downloading PrivyDock from this website asks for your name and email address. We use them to send product access, release updates, and occasional offers for PrivyDock, as described in the Privacy Policy. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect your trial, your license, or your ability to restore your apps.

Payments and refunds

Payments are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record. We do not receive or store your card details. Paid licenses are covered by our 30-day refund policy and any mandatory consumer rights that apply in your location.

Restore promise

Even if your trial expires or you never buy a license, you can always restore your apps. PrivyDock's restore feature works whether or not you're a paying customer. We will not hold your apps hostage.

Support and diagnostics

If you contact support, you are responsible for deciding what information to send us. The app can prepare privacy-safe diagnostics, but you should still review anything before sharing it.

Availability

We try to keep the website, license activation, update checks, and support channels available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Local restore functionality is designed to work without a paid license.

Disclaimers

PrivyDock is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, and error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, PrivyDock and its creators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, loss of goodwill, or substitute services. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for PrivyDock in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $30 if you did not pay.

Indemnity

If you misuse PrivyDock, violate these Terms, or use the app on a Mac you are not authorized to manage, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, damages, and expenses that result from that misuse, to the extent allowed by law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the app, website, email, or release notes.
