License Agreement

License grant

PrivyDock grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the PrivyDock Mac app on Macs that you own or control, subject to these terms.

Trial and paid license

PrivyDock includes a 30-day free trial. After the trial, hiding and guarding new apps requires an active paid license. Restore remains available even without a paid license.

Early supporter perpetual license

The current launch offer is a perpetual license for the first 500 users, with the final localized price shown on the pricing page and at Paddle checkout. A perpetual license means you can keep using the version of PrivyDock covered by the license. It does not promise every future major version, separate paid product, or unrelated service.

What you may not do

• Resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute PrivyDock.
• Reverse engineer PrivyDock except where local law allows it.
• Use PrivyDock on a Mac you do not own or have permission to manage.
• Use PrivyDock to hide unlawful material or misrepresent its privacy guarantees.

Ownership

PrivyDock is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the app, website, branding, design, code, documentation, and related materials. You keep ownership of your apps, files, and local data.

Open source and third-party components

PrivyDock may include third-party frameworks and open-source components. Those components remain governed by their own licenses. Nothing in this agreement limits your rights under any applicable open-source license.

Updates

PrivyDock may check for updates and offer signed app updates. Updates may improve safety, compatibility, billing, or product behavior. You can choose whether to install optional updates.

Casual privacy, not hardened security

PrivyDock is designed to keep selected apps out of everyday view. It is not encryption, malware protection, parental control, enterprise device management, or an admin-proof security boundary.

No high-risk use

Do not rely on PrivyDock where failure could lead to physical harm, legal non-compliance, data-loss liability, or other high-risk consequences. Keep backups and use proper security tools where security is required.

Termination

This license ends if you materially violate these terms. You may stop using PrivyDock at any time. Before deleting the app, restore your private apps from PrivyDock or follow the recovery notes stored next to private app copies.
